Bought this product for Lodge 10" square grilling pan from the wildlife series. It fits slightly lose but when you grab the handle for any purpose it does not slide and I do not feel at risk for burning myself. My hand does not get too hot carrying the pan hot from the stove. I do use a pot holder on the helper handle as this is a more secure way to carry any hot pan . I like that the silicone handle can come off easily when I want it too as I don't feel water from washing the pan gets trapped in the handle to rust it in the future. I don't put the silicone cover back on until my pan is dry. I like the convienence of not having to look for the pot holder while cooking a meal as I normally have several things going at once, and more than one cook in the kitchen at the same time!

Just to help out future customers, below are the Lodge skillet sizes I own and how this handle cover fits each handle: 5 inch - will not fit, way too big. 8 inch - will not fit, too big. 10 inch - a little loose but still effective. 13 inch - perfectly, very snug. Hope I helped!

I bought this for my 10" skillet. It can wiggle a little while it's on but it doesn't slip off without me actually pulling it off intentionally. It does a good job of protecting my hand and I've never felt in danger of being burnt through it. It always stays on except for washing. I would consider this an essential for my skillet.

I agree with the poor fit comments. Lodge needs to make these thicker, more true to fit for each size pan they make and make the web site ordering explicit so we know what we're getting. Great idea, poor execution.

Wake up Lodge, make a list in every silicone item and in what grill, fry pan etc it will fit and that way the customers will know what to buy
