I have been using heavier metal rings for a couple of years and decided to give these a try because of the great success I've had with the Lodge Cast Iron Silicone egg ring. There is NO leakage nor sticking that other customers have complained about if you just follow the easy steps. Posting here to help future customers: (1)Oil or grease inside of ring;(2)heat pan or griddle up until drop of sprinkled water dances a bit;(3)set ring on heated pan at least 5 seconds;(4)add a little butter, oil or bacon fat to inside area edges of ring and allow it to heat up;(5)Pour in batter, starting at edges, and turn heat down on burner to medium low;(6)allow pancake to cook slowly so it cooks all the way through until completely set;(7)when gooey top part wiggles less, carefully stretch the edges around the ring ever so slightly to loosen the pancake and carefully lift the ring up and off;(9)gently flip the pancake to other side to finish cooking. Voila, perfect pancake is ready for whatever you planned to have it with. Not complicated if you just follow the easy steps.
