I've used this Dutch Oven in the oven to slow cook pulled pork, chilli, and Beef Bourguignon. The self-basting lid seems to do just what it's intended to do. This is a great Dutch Oven that has become my go-to. I find that the lid needs to be seasoned regularly as it can take a beating from the steam, and it is heavy, so if you've put a large piece of meat in it with veggies, don't lift with your back taking it out of the oven. I look forward to my next dish using this Lodge product.
